Staying at home while spring is approaching and the weather is nice outside can be difficult. Also, isolation and anxiety can have a negative impact on both our mental and physical health. Here are a few things I do to enjoy my time inside and get a positive distraction:
Reading and writing;
Taking online courses;
Cooking and trying new recipes;
Catching up on housework and tidying up;
Watching movies and series;
Calling a friend;
Painting and experimenting with arts;
Exercising;
Experimenting with photography;
Playing a piano app.
What are your ways to spend a fun time at home or keep your productivity?

Nice photo, yes, we are in lockdown and there is a lovely park behind our place where we live. We are allowed to go for walks as long as we keep our distance from other people and also to the supermarket the same rule.
I have a whole lot of photos that require editing, plus I can not do all the chores I want to do all at once, but this is a unique opportunity to get things done.
The grass is growing and I need to get a lawnmower but have to get a shed to put it in as well as a wheel barrow – that is put on hold until our quarantine is over.
That’s true. Although we have more free time now, we may not have all the resourses to finish some projects right now.
The important thing is to keep ourselves busy with something positive regardless whether it’s a hobby, job or duty. 🙂
I do most of these things daily, but it’s just a reminder that there’s still plenty to do in this period of isolation. I don’t know, it helps me seeing it like that in a list, haha.
I love this list very much. I must share it!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
I am introverted, so I don’t mind staying at home most of the time. With this lockdown, I am enjoying watching tv series/movies on Netflix, learning a new skill, etc.
I love staying at home, but now that I have to, the feeling is different,haha. I am glad you enjoy your time at home!
i would honestly say for me that right now, the best thing is the evening meal. we (all six) are here now and it makes the meal that much better!
It’s great that you can spend the time with your family!
it really is, makes for a more enjoyable confinement.
Cooking, craft , reading writing and gardening takes up all my time. I never feel bored.
That’s great to hear! We need more positive distractions.
I look outside at the lovely sunshine and of course, you know I keep busy with my writing, Every day now I have assignments to write up.
It’s good to have our minds busy with something fun or productive.
Coloring book with pencils
Listened to Music
Watched the birds
Talked to an old friend
Having the birds and wildlife around really makes a difference.
I’m not good at making lists
But I can tell you that……..
I’m an expert at making home-made bread??
Oh, I love bread so much! I bake cookies and cakes, but bread is not my forte.
Great post. I’ll try to make a list. I can say I’m not bored.
Thank you so much! I am happy to hear that!
I love being home. I love a few of these things.
Cooking and trying new recipes;
Recruitment and housekeeping;
Watching movies and series;
Experimenting with photography;
Calling a friend;
Great post.
Thank you very much, dear Elenka! It’s wonderful that there are a lot of at-home activities you enjoy. 🙂
