Sharing a photo of the wild mint I have growing in the screen room. My cats will walk by and take a bite. It is good for them. It is suppose to help their digestion. I also bring some inside, let it dry out, and use it in my hot tea.
The smell takes me back to days gone by with my dear Grandmother. She would pick this same type of wild mint beside the road and make hot tea every day. So cool to have plants that will bring back such happy memories. This time of year I am surrounded by fragrance from my screen room as well as from the flowers in my yard.
I started this mint from a cutting of my neighbor’s. Before she passed she gave me a cutting and said to be careful as it is very invasive. I keep it in a container so that is not a problem. The smell is wonderful. I am also reminded of my neighbor when I see the mint growing.
