Sharing a Fritillary Butterfly with Kim’s Color Crazy Challenge, the color orange for this week. I am patiently waiting for spring. It is very near as I am starting to see some blooms appear, gradually.
Similar to a butterfly, I’ve gone through a metamorphosis, been released from my dark cocoon, embraced my wings, and soared. ~Dana Arcuri

Yes, I saw one on my hike a few days ago. I tried to capture it with the camera, but my shadow scared it away. It looked like this one, oddly enough.
They are common but so beautiful, as they all are.
It’s a very beautiful butterfly, great shot. I am still waiting for the warmer weather so the butterflies will start appearing.

i saw two bushes with the full butterflies… i was in awe. I took pictures of them but i m not sure if I was able to capture well
They can be a challenge as they are scared easily.

For the most part it’s still below freezing here. I haven’t seen any insects.
We still have cold weather coming next week.
Us too. It will probably be another month before we start seeing anything with six legs.
Oh well, we will just have to wait.
