“Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally”. In other words, you have apply the operators in the order – Parantheses (brackets), Exponents (powers of a number), Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction.
Given that there are no brackets or exponents here, the precedence rules mean that you must first multiply 3 by 3, to get 9, then add 3 to get 12. You must then subtract the 12 from the initial 3, because minus is the final operator.
The answer is therefore minus 9.

It is only -3 if you apply the operator order rules in the wrong order! It might be that this is taught differently in different countries – I am using the PEMDAS order that is followed in the UK.
First, multiply 3 x 3 to make 9. Then, 3 – 9 = -6. Finally, -6 + 3 = -3
In this case there is no B, no O, and no D but only M,A,S which means you first multiply, then add and then subtract is what I think.
You do not seem to have followed this rule. You need to explain.
I assumed those brackets and came to a wrong answer.
These puzzles are worked out differently to when I was at school. I know that the multiplication has to be done first (I think they sometimes put that in brackets) but after that I get lost.

You are applying subtraction before addition. All the rules I have seen quoted here place addition before subtraction.
I was taught if there were no brackets, then it would go left to right. Multiplication and division would be ahead of addition and subtraction, but addition and subtraction would be equivalent in regards to being done.
There are no brackets but BODMAS is still used in such small problems

MY answer is -9 because it is MDAS operation which means Multiplication, Division go first before the Addition and Subtraction.

3-3 cannot be left like that. It should have been in brackets. Anyway I think the answer is 0

The math tells us that the oldest work is done first – it means multiplying .3×3 is 9, so adding + 3 is 12 and finally subtracting,
3 – 12 = -9
