Artificial tree fight air pollution

Trees are essential to keep the atmosphere clean and provide fresh air. However In Mexico, artificial trees were built to deal with air pollution.

This artificial tree, discovered by a Mexican startup biomotech company, has successfully tested for to deal with air pollution in the  environment. This artificial tree is capable of absorbing carbon dioxide and other harmful components from the air equivalent to 368 living trees. It uses micorology to clean carbon and other toxic components and releases oxygen-rich clean air back into the atmosphere.

So far up to three such trees have been installed in Mexico, Colombia and Panama.

  1. I prefere green trees. Green trees fix carbon dioxide through the process of photosynthesis and convert it into oxygen. Where are the waste going in this case? Doesn’t this produce pollution? Just asking!??

  2. In my opinion, this artificial tree should be implemented in areas affected by fires. It will be useful as long as the natural forests are restored.

  3. Technology is great but it cannot replace a living and breathing real tree. We should concentrate more on the planet rather than on technology. I understand this type of artificial tree does the job in tree barren areas. I just hope they will come up north to Canada (where I reside) because then we will really have to worry…

  4. They should be planting trees and preserving the ones they have. I guess this is an okay alternative but I would hope we don’t have to rely on artificial trees.
