Captured this skipper butterfly on my butterfly bush last spring. I hope to see these again soon. The butterfly bush should be blooming in a few weeks.

      • You sound like the moth that hung around my lamppost and then came in and laid an egg on my houseplant. I should post a picture of it on here. Pretty green caterpillar, but deadly to my Swiss Chard!

  1. No there is still no butterflies in my neck of the woods as we had another snow storm yesterday all day with big huge flakes that packed up on the streets and made them slippery. But today, despite the lack of sunshine, everything is melting as we have a 5 degree C temperature. Everybody around me is very happy to finally see the end of winter while I feel sad because I know spring and eventually summer with all its humidity are coming back. But there is one thing to say about summer, it brings all nature and animals back to life which I appreciate but I still wish it was less humid and sticky. You posted a very beautiful picture capture of a small butterfly. You must be very lucky and an adept photographer to have accomplished this one.

    • None here yet either. Too soon. We have tornado warnings, schools closing, crazy March weather. Glad things are melting there. I know what you mean about the humidity. I cannot tolerate it. It is always sad when seasons change, for many reasons. This skipper flits around so quickly, I had to sit awhile and wait for him to be still. He finally got used to me I guess and I snapped a quick photo. Skippers are very common here. Have a good day my friend.
