The other day I was walking through the local park in my town and noticed how lovely the lavender looks now it’s grown and bloomed. I do like lavender. I find it so relaxing, and it smells lovely too. I was watching all the bees that were taking advantage of it and buzzing around the flowers. I also noticed a beautiful butterfly. I did try getting a photo of it, but it was too quick for me and kept flying off before I could take a snap of it. Hopefully next time I will have more luck.
Now summer has arrived, it is lovely to see all the trees, plants and flowers in full bloom. And also, I love the fact that there is so much wildlife about too like, as I mentioned, the bumble bees and butterflies. This is my favourite time of the year. Which season do you prefer?
Marillion has a song called Lavender which I find most beautiful
I didn’t know that! I shall find this song to listen to, thankyou. =)

pretty sure it is based on a children’s song
Lovely photo, I love lavender too and if you pour boiling water over lavender in a bath, it is like disinfectant.
Oh really? I had never thought about doing that, but it sounds nice. I guess the lavender aroma would be very relaxing too.
That is also true Coffee Queen.
Lavender blooming, what could be better? My favorite seasons are the end of spring, summer & early autumn.
They are lovely seasons, Anastasia. Early autumn is so nice, I agree!
I love lavander. I use lavander oil sometimes.
Yes, lavender oil is very good. I use this too.
Lavender is not only a beautiful flower its colour is soothing to the eye. The flowering season is the best and I am sure most would choose it.
I agree, I think lavender is very common in gardens. I love it.
I used to think Fall was my favorite season, but I think summer is my favorite season. It leaves the mind with the fun things about summer.
Yes, summer is always full of fun. The only season I don’t like really is the winter time.
Thankyou Tasarcraft. I also think it’s wonderful. =)
I love lavender and its soothing scent. I have lavender in my garden.
Oh, that’s good Vidocka. I really need to get some for my garden too!
I cannot imagine a world without lavender, healthy and heavenly fragrance!
I agree Andre. I find it very healthy and a heavenly fragrance too. =)
Lavender does smell and look very nice. I don’t have it in my garden for some reason.
No, nor me. But I will get some definitely.
great picture – is it near your home?
I’m afraid not, Doc. It’s taken in the park in my town. They have lots of lavender there. But I think I need to get some for my garden!
sounds like a great plan to me!
I like every season.Beautiful lavender and nice post.
Thankyou Hina. Yes, every season is nice and is beautiful for different reasons.
I took a photo of one level with lavender before 3-4 days. The view was magical.
Ah, that’s nice to hear lacho. Lavender is always lovely to look at, I think.
Yeah , Lavender requires a soil pH of 6.5 to 8. … Position the lavender plants with plenty of space between them to encourage drying air circulation. Remove, or deadhead, spent blooms regularly for the entire blooming season. This prolongs the overall blooming duration and promotes bushier growth.
Oh, that’s good to know, Witty. I don’t have any lavender in my garden unfortunately. But I must get some as I do love it. Perhaps I should take a cutting from that bush. =)
