Lavender looks and smells lovely!

The other day I was walking through the local park in my town and noticed how lovely the lavender looks now it’s grown and bloomed.  I do like lavender.  I find it so relaxing, and it smells lovely too.  I was watching all the bees that were taking advantage of it and buzzing around the flowers.  I also noticed a beautiful butterfly.  I did try getting a photo of it, but it was too quick for me and kept flying off before I could take a snap of it.  Hopefully next time I will have more luck.

Now summer has arrived, it is lovely to see all the trees, plants and flowers in full bloom.  And also, I love the fact that there is so much wildlife about too like, as I mentioned, the bumble bees and butterflies.  This is my favourite time of the year.  Which season do you prefer?

  1. Yeah , Lavender requires a soil pH of 6.5 to 8. … Position the lavender plants with plenty of space between them to encourage drying air circulation. Remove, or deadhead, spent blooms regularly for the entire blooming season. This prolongs the overall blooming duration and promotes bushier growth.
