Some people swear by coconut oil’s properties and use it for everything: from cooking and beauty care to a cure for almost any health problem.
However, lately, there are more and more articles talking about how bad it is.
Here’s an interesting article I thought you might like.
The article does not only talk about the benefits of consuming coconut oil, but it is also supported by a variety of studies. It’s important to remember that coconut oil is healthy but only as part of an overall healthy diet, not as the main course. The same thing applies to any other food.

I personally love using coconut oil in my desserts (in moderation, of course), and recently I found out that it’s even useful for treating sore throat. I was sceptical, but I got sick yesterday so I decided to try it and there’s an immediate effect.
What about you, do you like coconut oil?
If you are a coconut lover, you might also like this homemade Bounty recipe from my blog:

Nice article. Thanks for sharing. There was a time that there was a virgin coconut oil craze here I the Philippines. The product is still in the market. 🙂
Thank you so much! The less processed, the better 🙂
Hi Ellie, I use coconut oil every day to help heal problems on my skin. I also use a shampoo with coconut oil in it. Then I put some in my hair as a leave in conditioner!! I share my bottles with my niece who is into fashion and beauty. She has also discovered a lot of uses that she relies on.
That is great, I should try it as a leave in conditioner too! Thank you for the awesome ideas!
nice 🙂
Thank you!
I use coconut oil to brush my teeth, mouth rinse, soothing heels, and remove dark marks! I can’t consume it as I am allergic to it.
It has so many uses!
I’ve been looking for a good coconut oil to use myself… Great article, Ellie! 🙂
Glad you liked it!
It is like any food, especially fad foods; there will be good and bad things associated with it. I’ve never tried coconut oil and I’m perfectly fine with using extra virgin olive oil.
I like using olive oil in savory dishes too, but I don’t like it smell in desserts.
I have heard good things about coconut oil for awhile now from my doctor.
It is good but it has to be cold-pressed, etc.
I’ve been using it in cooking since my gallbladder removal just a little on my foods.
Thank you for your comment!
