3 Tips for Better Photos

I know you’ve probably heard that the only rule of photography is that there are no rules. This is true, since art is in the eyes of the beholder. However there are some guidelines which can be applied to any scene to get it noticed.

Once you become familiar with these tips, you’ll be amazed at just how easy it is to make your photos “work”, while others feel like snapshots.

Here are three easy tips.

#1 Leading Lines

When you look at a photograph your eyes naturally drawn along lines. Think about how you place lines in your composition. In this one you look at the boulders in the bottom right, followed by the second pile of boulders and lastly the farmlands. Forming a Z.

  1. This is awesome! I learned a lot from this post! I’m not well educated in photography and I haven’t even studied or researched deeply about proper photography yet. I just take pictures with no rules or improperly. As long as I like what I see then SNAP! Lol. XD Thanks for sharing this. 🙂
