Macrophotography is one of the most attractive types of photographic art. Unfortunately, it is unclear to the vast majority of those who try it. In essence, the purpose of MACROPHOTOGRAPHY is to capture in the images the less visible world and if it is possible to fit it into a photographic composition. So, as a definition, a macro photograph is one in which the size of the subject on the negative or image sensor is life size or greater.
Two years ago I had a post about the Ladybug’s life cycle in pictures.
Today I am able to show you again the first stage in becoming a ladybug – the egg stage. After two years, today I found some ladybug eggs again. Unfortunately, the wind has blown and the quality of the picture is not my favorite! But … it’s definitely a macro shot. The size of this group of eggs is less than 5mm so you will understand that the single egg size is very small.

Heck, I had no idea what the eggs looked like.
I’m glad I showed you something you have not seen before!?
Fantastic capture and something so small comes to life!
Thank you, Doc! Something so small turns into some very useful insects in our gardens!
Oh, I first time saw ladybug’s eggs…
I struggle with natural preparations. I also recommend Coca-Cola.
But they have 7 generations of evolution. Just when we have rains time, becomes scary.
I admit I did not understand why you recommend Coca Cola, and who has 7 generations of evolution.
Struggle have 7 generations during the year.
Coca-Cola destroys them by placing them so they do not have breathing breath and die.
most insects lay a lot more eggs…
Over the course of the spring, one female ladybug can lay up to 1,000 eggs.
so they do small installments over a large area and timeframe. that’s a smart move
They probably intend to conquer the entire planet!??
they do, but every insect species has the same plan
The ladybug’s egg is the subject of your impressive Macrophotography.
Indeed! The ladybug’s egg is a subject I’ve been looking for for a long time! I’m happy I finally found it!
Then I have to say congratulation to you…
Thank you very much, Albert!
You are most welcome, Ileana.
Great shot of the ladybug eggs by the way
Thank you, Pamela! It’s more and more difficult to make macro photos because my hands are becoming weaker but … I’m trying!?
Yes I agree with you, I can only take as small a shot as my equipment will allow me, I would not class myself as a macro photographer because I know I have to learn more about how to use my camera properly
Cu toții trebuie să învățăm! Camerele sunt din ce în ce mai complicate și mai greu de folosit de fotografi amatori, așa cum sunt eu!
Oups! I replied you in romanian language! ???I wanted to say, we all have to learn! The cameras are becoming more and more complicated and more difficult to use for amateur photographers as I am!
This is a true macro photo. Wow the eggs would have gone unnoticed. My rose photo is not the same but it was all I had for today. Great shot!
Your rose is wonderful Carol, especially because it’s from Dustin’s garden! Maybe it’s not a true macro photo but it’s a photo with many meanings!
I love these photos they’re very beautiful
Thank you, Branka! Nature gives us many beautiful things to photograph!
My god! Lovely capture!
Hmm… I think both images are macro… not sure..
Thank you! Thank you! Last picture is a close-up picture, not a macropicture.
