Once a giraffe has reached its adult size, it’s extremely unusual for it to be attacked, much less killed, by lions or hyenas; instead, these predators will target juvenile, sick, or aged individuals. The closest relative to a giraffe is an Okapi. You won’t see them wondering around in the United States, unless you are hanging out at the zoo.
Giraffes have very long necks and they are powerful. They can actually kill each other fighting with each ohter by smacking necks.

Giraffes – Facts or Fake
You got 7 out of 10 right!
I got 6 out of 10. That’s a fact, not fiction.
Great play on words and thanks so much for playing along.
wow.. good for me.,,,
Glad that you enjoyed it.
I got 5 out of 10 so I guess I don’t know giraffes very well. When I was a kid the local zoo had the giraffes on display below ground level so you were up by their heads. We used to put peanuts in our hands and hold them out. The giraffes would wrap their tongues around our wrists and pull them back to get the peanuts. My mother would freak out when I did it.
Just the thought of it is freaking me out! Those are ugly tongues.
6 of 10 here thank you
Thanks so much for playing and commenting.
Got them all but one, great quiz.
You are so smart. It is hard to ever fool you. Thanks for playing and commenting.
Got 5 . I am surprised that they only need 5 to 30 minutes of sleep.
I didn’t believe that one so I called the zoo. They said it was true.
Well, I got 5 correct. I wish had this photo, so I could hang it in my house somewhere.
It does feel like that giraffe can really see you doesn’t it.
wow.. good for me. thanks very informative
I am glad you enjoyed it and thanks for taking the time to comment.
7 of 10 here, I didnt know some. Good quiz!
Thanks I learned a lot doing the research. I just knew they had long tongues and I thought they were black, guess they are blue, who knew?
I got 6 correct. Most of the answers were guesses though. I love giraffes. They are such beautiful creatures.
I am glad that you enjoyed it.
Wow!! It’s the best of two!!
Surprise, surprise!
Well I am glad that you enjoyed it.
I learned two new things about Giraffe’s today, and I have officially stopped watching out my window for them based on your statement that they don’t roam the US other than in Zoos 🙂
Oh well thanks so much for making me laugh so hard I cried.
Any suggestions on replacement hobbies? 🙂
