For today’s announcement I chose the yellow rose that I painted in the neighbor’s garden. Do you know the symbolism of flowers and their colors? Gentle yellow, dark yellow and golden roses express joy, gratitude and friendship. We give them to mums on the first visit after the birth of a child, newlyweds and graduates. They are also an excellent choice when we want to remember the closest thing that we do not care about them. The yellow color also had a negative significance in the past, as many believed that it expresses jealousy and love that has already passed.

  4. Thank you I learned something today I did not that the yellow rose was friendship etc. I have also never seen a golden rose i will have to go look for one.

  14. I love the yellow rose. It was my mom’s favorite even though she just had red roses and white in her garden. We seemed never to find a yellow rose bush to plant. My sister has one in her one front garden though along with a white one.
