My cats love the taste of wild mint. It is really good for their digestion. They do not go outdoors, so I keep mint growing in the screen room for them. And for me as well. I use it in my hot tea during the fall and winter.
Sharing the photo with today’s Nature Tuesday challenge.
Love the smell. Takes me back to my childhood. We always had it growing wild around our home. I noticed the blooms on the mint this morning. The plant has been enjoying all the rain we have gotten lately.
I keep it in a container so it doesn’t get out of hand. Wild mint can be invasive. But growing it like this works for me and my cats.

I love tea with mint. Do you get poll credits when you put questions like you have here?
Yes, you can put only one question and it is considered a poll for 30 points.
I take wild mint tea daily, yes it best for digestion.
That is great and very healthy.
Mint adds such a wonderful flavor to everything. Fresh mint in tea is a delight that warms the heart on a cold winters day!
Yes it does Doc. I love it when it is cold outside. And the memories are priceless.
Yeah Natures always unique
Thank you for your comment.
I randomly have it in my lemonade.
Enjoy and good to see you.
Smells and songs do take us back.
Yes and I find it absolutely incredible!
I love the mint so it grows in my garden too.
That is great, the smell is heard to beat. My cats love it too.
Another typo, sorry… smell is hard to beat.
I often drink tea from mint, dear friend
That is great, I love the fresh mint smell and taste.
Have a great evening my friend!
I want you a nice evening too, dear Carol
I hope so, there is a nice breeze blowing, finally a little break from the heat, for now anyway.
I grow mint too, I love its taste and smell. I add it not only in tea but in cold refreshing drinks too.
Good to hear Fortune. I only like this mint in hot tea.
But I know many who use it in their iced tea. Enjoy!
We had mint growIng around the house too when I was growing up. I didn’t realize that cats liked it. Another beautiful picture.
Yes, you can actually buy what is called cat mint. But this is so much better. They just go out and take a bite when they want it.
I have a photo of the Dude standing there eating the mint in the screen room, it was fun to watch.
In my old place I had several mints – 7 or 8. I used them all the time and also gave fresh mint to friends for “Pho” … I also had Lemon Balm — you have to thin all these by digging a bit once in a while. I surely miss the plants from that place. I started adding some essentials here. So far just rosemary, lemongrass, and oregano.
Fresh mint iced tea is awesome in summer.
My neighbor gave me my first cutting. Hers really got out of hand. It grew as a shrub. I like to keep mine contained. Yes it is awesome in the summer. But something about hot eat with honey and mint in the winter that takes me back.
Not a huge fan of mint tea but they do goes well with ice cream 😀
I am near the river Vizelj, a place where wild boar is growing.
I in the garden have cultivated for tea.
I don’t like the mint tea you buy. I make my own with regular black tea, then add this fresh mint, honey and cream Just like my Grandmother used to fix hers.
Good for you Robin! 🙂
