Waiting For Ripe ~ 365 Photos Challenge #242

My mangos tree has borne fruits. As you can see, this group may be ripe around three weeks to come while in many other parts there are still many flowers which mean it still takes a long time to wait before it becomes fruit and ripe.

In my previous home, I have a type of mango which generally cannot ripen. Mango from that tree is generally rotten before ripe. It’s a pity because actually, the taste of the mangoes is very tasty and sweet. If it can ripen, at least mature enough to be picked, the fruit is not runny and feels starchy.

Is it possible that mangoes are like humans too, there are types that can grow and develop well until they ripen in the tree perfectly, but there are also those who will not be able to ripe, or rot prematurely?

I don’t know, but what is clear is that is the reality is all around me, both mango and human.

  1. The rotten nature of humans – snuck that one in my friend. I suspect the easy answer to that question is yes But in reality i do not. I try to assume all people are good by nature. I am wrong sometimes. But I am right sometimes as well.

    • I also do not intend to judge anyone here except to invite us, at least myself, to see that the phenomenon exists, but still, we also have to look at the end, whether something is picked because it is ripe or because of rotten, harvested or or clean the trees or rejected .

  2. I have some ripe lemons on my tree at the moment and also some limes. I have a peach tree and some mandarin trees and guava trees. They are only small trees.
Also have a Advocado tree. I grew it from a pip, as I did the peach tree from a pip. Im not garden expert. Yes, I have had some Advocados and plan to this year. Its in flower and Im throwing sugar water at it, trying to attract the bees so I may gain fruit.
There is also an unfruitful plum tree over the other side of the fence and trying to fertilise that with the pollen of another plum tree not far away by using a paint brush. We got some plums last year that way so will try again this year.

  3. Oh boy, they are almost ripe. I hope the birds don’t find them! I wish I had one. It can grow here, but I would have to keep it in a pot. That would be hard to do. I love mangos more than the young souls..

    • I have no experience with mangoes eaten by birds, except bats. But I have contacted Batman so that his troops do not interfere with my fruits.

Why do you have to plant it in a pot? Even if fruiting, it will be very long and just a little.

  4. I love mangoes! But I don’t know about its benefits at all lol!!

I cant define a “rotten” person… Does that means he died? Or got sick? Or just simply turn bad and harm others?

And yes, it’s a pity about your mangoes … maybe you can find ways to let it ripen on the tree?

    • As far as I know, mango is indeed a tropical fruit (although it does not like moisture and high rainfall). So in your place, it is likely to only be on the market, even though there is no its tree on the market. lol
