I wanted to make sure everyone has the following information (so that there is no confusion)
1. About 1/3 of the active users do not have a create button. That said, I have no way of knowing if some of the non-active users don’t have a create button. What this really means is that most likely many more than 1/3 of authors can’t create, we only know about active users.
2. As far as I have been able to tell, the impact of this has nothing to do with user type, rather with the age of the account. The oldest accounts do not appear to have the issue. The newest does not appear to have the issue.
I have a few poll questions to clarify some of the information I am gathering. The new issue is one I will also gather information about; it is a little more alarming. Alibb is the first person to bring this up, Alex Ledandte has also reported having this issue. It is a negative account balance. Now normally that happens., but once the payment update (end of the month) occurs the negative balance should go away. It hasn’t so far for the two users in question.
If you have that issue, please let me know in the comments.
I am also starting to wonder about a couple of things.
1. Are we inundating the admin team with way too many emails about the issues?
2. Views are down (it has been 14 days)
3. There was a huge explosion of publication this morning (late last night early am European time)
4. We have lost authors.
The reality right now is that it appears we have Moderators, Admins, and an IT/Development team. It appears that the three are separate, and I’ve asked the support team to go back to having a banner on the site with information on the issues we’ve experienced and fixes. So far, crickets, but I am going to keep trying. I wanted to end with that. Some people have PM’ed me asking is this the end. I don’t believe this is the end yet.
Please feel free to express frustration, ideas and of course, answer the poll!

I am hoping that my create button doesn’t disappear
if it hasn’t already it probably won’t!
That’s good because it would be hard to start all over again.
it would be 🙂
i have been here for more than 3 years now! More than 2000 posts!
Damn, 2000 is a lot! I bet that you are paid monthly
For the most part every month for the past two years. But, I have missed a few months during that time.
That is really good. I would imagine that I will be hitting my 7th payment next month, if I continue to post regularly like I have been.
that (7th) is also awesome !
I can create but have been worried about those who haven’t been able to create…I see Virily as a unique opportunity and the best about being on Virily is the people here….
I think a lot of us are worried. I agree the best part of Virily is the people!
i hope that you share more posts
thanks I have many posts on Virily!
just amazing beautiful
thank you very much. Welcome by the way to Virily!

After a week of stagnation, I had 2 posts approved the other night. But now it’s back to stagnation again of my pending posts.
i saw one of them do remember they work standard European hours. check again today!
I agree with all your claims in the post. As you know, I still can’t create. I have been a member since May 2017. I have sent 3 emails and received a reply saying they have technical issues and are working on it. Now I’m “desperate” and I’m just waiting.
it is very frustrating, they did approve a lot of posts yesterday. Let’s hope we limp along until they fix this issue.
I sent the admin a message one or twice about reverting a published article article to draft so that I can edit it. I never got a response. That was September last year. I never bothered again.
I can’t complain much but I do feel the frustrations among the members whose create button isn’t yet functioning. I don’t know why it has taken that long.
In terms of the Waiting period, it’s usually between a day-3 days.
The biggest frustration is the lack of admin addressing the issues faced here. The many emails sent to them is a testament of the lack of their providing a mean of addressing the issues at a single place where all users can read it.
I don’t believe Virily will ‘die’ any sooner.
i agree.
They did do a banner twice in the past.
Hopefully, they will do one again. I understand the frustration of 100s of emails asking for help!
banner is a fast way to reach all once!
Yes. Even when government workers cries aren’t listened, (peaceful) demonstration is one of the most actions to undertake.
the problem right now is we don’t have any power here.
In my traditional job one particular manager often says, lets try not to create our own problems. (I am in no way blaming anyone for the issues here.) I just wish we would all focus on what we CAN do and how we can try and be a part of the solutions.
Yes Doc we are all looking to you. I am certain that might be a little more than disturbing. I do hope that you also understand it is because we respect you.
No matter the outcome, thanks Doc for being our ever optimistic hero.
Without a doubt, I draw inspiration from your posts all the time. You, Albert, Carol, Alex L, and many others are people that have helped me, guided me and made me part of the broader community!
