The grafted mango tree

The mango tree usually bears fruit after 5 years of planting the seed. But orchard growers have a way of shortening that period by planting grafted mango trees that can bear fruit in only 2 years time. But a grafted mango tree is expensive to buy.

  1. I have 5 different varieties. One of them gives fruits after 12-13 years. Too sour initially but too sweet after ripening fully. Used for pickles as well.
