The mango tree usually bears fruit after 5 years of planting the seed. But orchard growers have a way of shortening that period by planting grafted mango trees that can bear fruit in only 2 years time. But a grafted mango tree is expensive to buy.
Do have mangoes in your country?
Only imported mango fruits
New Zealand is not hot enough to produce mangoes so we import them
We do have here too, but imported Pakistan mangoes a lot found in the market too.
Unfortunately we don’t have that delicious fruit here.
i miss the mangos of Thailand. we have them in the US markets, but they have to be picked so green and “ripen” on the way they don’t taste good.
Yes , we export large numbers of mangoes to the world.
Summer is a great time to enjoy this yummy fruit. Have you started reaping the benefits?
I have 5 different varieties. One of them gives fruits after 12-13 years. Too sour initially but too sweet after ripening fully. Used for pickles as well.
We have a few varieties and they yield every year
We don’t have mango here. I do not know if it would withstand during the winter when the temperatures are very low.
Yes we have mangoes but I have never tried one.
