The theme of this year’s Ileana photo chain challenge is bridges.
Vintgar is a less than two-kilometer-long gorge carved by the Radovna River in the past.
Along the way, we are constantly accompanied by the river Radovna, which creates a variety of water formations along the gorge. As the steepness of the river is quite considerable, the current with many rapids, waterfalls, and pools are correspondingly varied. The height of the rocky slopes in the gorge is about 250 m, which creates an even more powerful experience, as the sound of roaring, which the water creates with its rapid penetration through Vintgar, is reflected from the walls. The visitor thus walks literally through a corridor with high walls. The river literally dances and jumps over rapids in rapids, creating beautiful sounds and at the same time a variety of erosional forms.

You are right. The walk was really quite adventurous.
I visited this very place, dear Vidocka…. beautiful picture
Thank you, Lado. This place is beautiful too.
It is very nice and pleasantly cold in summer when it is hot everywhere
I agree. The problem is that there are a lot of visitors in the summer.
This is one of the big inconveniences …. it will probably be much better this year
I have visited a similar place in Bulgaria and Spain. I love the mountains and the bridges in them.
I also adore similar places and am always happy to visit them.
It is a beautiful place that everyone will definitely want to visit.
Thank you. It really is a beautiful place to visit.
i rode a burro to the bottom of the grand canyon in the US.
i looked up and was speechless.
What a fantastic picture of the bridge!
Thank you. Similar places are truly unique to visit.
They are – the majesty of what nature can create makes the skyscrapers of humans look like ant hills.
“A bridge has no allegiance to either side.”
The writer Les Coleman said this.
But a bridge bridges beauty on both sides, adding some of its own too, so maybe he was wrong.
A wonderful “quote”. Maybe he was really wrong. I know many bridges that connect beautiful places.
Yes, so do I.
I guess he also means that a beautiful bridge can stand on its own, and doesn’t have to get its beauty from either side either.
A great place to visit. I have been fortunate to have got opportunities to similar locations as I have a passion for travel
Thank you. Many people do not have the opportunity to visit similar places.
There’s no place on earth as beautiful as this place.
Thank you so much. I agree with you. I have visited many similar places before. But this one is really the most beautiful.
Very scenic area to visit and hike on a nice looking bridge… gorgeous nature….
Thank you. This is a really beautiful place to walk and relax. Here nature is unspoiled.
Such a beautiful place in the nature!
Thank you, Ellie. This place is really beautiful.
This reminds me of some of the bridges in the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. Beautiful!
Thank you. These bridges are wooden and in some places very dangerous due to humidity.
