Any fruit is first a flower.
Starting from this reality I thought it was interesting to start a photography project entitled “From flowers to fruits and seeds”.
Japanese quince it is best known for its colorful spring flowers of red, white or pink. It produces apple-shaped fruit that are a golden-yellow color. The fruit is edible, but hard and astringent-tasting.

Something new. Going by your description I do not suppose all will relish that fruit
We do not eat these fruits. We grow the shrub only for decorative purpose.
There are a few ornamental berries that are not eaten too.
I don’t know why, but I like flowers more than fruits ?
Flowers are much more beautiful than fruits. It is understandable that you like them more!
Never had quince growing only apples, Love both the look of the flowers and the fruit
In my mother’s garden grow both apples and quince. I love them both!
My grandmother used to have quince in her garden. I think the flowers were white. Anyway I never liked the very bitter taste. But I love these red flowers.
We grow it only for ornamental purpose. For consumption we use bright golden yellow quince.
