Any fruit is first a flower.
Starting from this reality I thought it was interesting to start a photography project entitled “From flowers to fruits and seeds”.
Among the riches of autumn, the quince occupies a special place. Large fruits, very aromatic, with low succulence, astringent taste and strong consistency, the quinces are consumed more in the form of preparations: compote, jam, sweetness, nectar, jelly. Regardless of how we eat them, they preserve their properties and acts positively on our body. Because autumn has already set in, and respiratory viruses have begun to give us grief, phytotherapy specialists recommend daily consumption of quince. These not only prevent us from colds, but prevent anemia and stimulate appetite.

My preference is for flowers. I’m not a big fan of fruits.
I think I know this fruit, here it has a different name and we use it to make marmalade.
I don’t know what this fruit is and I have not tried it before. I’ll remember this and hopefully I will get a chance to taste it. 🙂
Never tried this , good photo indeed
Not everyone likes this fruit but you should try! It is good for health.
I will look for some the next time I go to the ranch market
Good! Let me know if you found it!?
will do, but it might be a while
It looks like a pear. I have eaten pears but not this. How does it taste?
They have an astringent taste. I have always identified the “smell” of autumn with the smell of quinces!
I have heard of quince but never tried it,
It’s one of my favorite autumn fruits.
I didn’t like quince as a kid and I don’t eat it today, dear Ileana
You should try! They are a significant source of easily assimilable mineral elements and vitamins.
If I remember correctly, she was very hairy and dragged her mouth together … an unpleasant feeling
The quince is covered with a fluff that removes very easily when it is ripe. Probably the quince you ate were not ripe! As you can see in the photos, the green quince is full of hair but the yellow one which is ripe has less hair which can be easily removed by washing.?
I probably really tried immature … this one looks so nice yellow but it was hard and green … you know, as a kid, the seed grew
Love them both. We always had pear trees growing up.
I have both pear and quince in my mother’s garden.
