Sharing a photo with Wednesday’s Shadows challenge. My Day Lilies are full of buds. There will be lots of yellow blooms soon. I snapped this photo earlier when I noticed the shadows. Thought it would be cool to share.
More of the little things in nature to see and learn about. Day Lilies are nice flowers. Each day you will see new blooms. Depending on the weather, they usually start blooming in mid-spring and continue blooming through the end of summer. They are like a ray of sunshine.
Then you cut them back at the end of summer. They return in the spring. That is why I love perennials. Very low maintenance plants to have in your garden.

I like spring, but my favorite season is autumn
Another great photo!
Spring is nice but I don’t enjoy the CNY festive at the start of it … :/
Your flowers and bud in the beautiful picture have managed to reduce my fatigue and make my heart whistle happily.
I used to blame birds and animals for being partial to you since they pose well for you. How am I going to blame these lily buds for posing well? Great shot Carol. ?
Oh no don’t blame me! I just wait for the right moment as I click many photos before I get a good shot. 🙂 Thank you!
I never blame you Carol but the nature for being partial to you. But I guess the nature favours the ones who care for it. Your passion for gardening is amazing.
I know, and I appreciate your support and kindness on all of my posts. I do enjoy nature. It takes me to another level.
They bloom a long time don’t they? I don’t have any of the day lilies, but just planted some glads.
Yes they will bloom through the summer Kim. I have never had glads but my neighbors do and they are so pretty.
Your garden will very soon turn out to be a color paradise
I hope so, I try to plant different colors.
Soon day Lilly pictures will flood Virily! (kidding).
i love the play of shadows, the picture is really interesting.
No, you are exactly right. Remember I told you so. 🙂
Thanks, I like shadows on a photo.
I love the way you captured the light, plant and shadows.
Appreciate your support Doc. It is a joy to share these photos. I get lost in my yard sometimes taking so many photos.
