Enjoying my sunshine day lilies. The yellow and green contrast is a favorite. I hope I don’t post about them too often. They are just such a favorite. I call them my sunshine flower.
Also I found out a few facts about the Day Lily I wasn’t aware of. Thought I would share.
There are about 15 species of daylilies.
The daylily is a flower that symbolizes motherhood.
Lilies are known to be the May birth flower, and the 30th wedding anniversary flower.

I didn’t know that about day lilies! I think there are more colors and combinations now. I was looking at a couple of nursery sites and there are pages and pages of species and colors.
Yes there are many types of lilies as well. I enjoy these.
That looks like the Stella de Oro lily.
