I think,there are many advantage and disadvantages of technology. Nothing is bigger than humanity, it’s use in our hand.Technology is very useful sometime but extream use of everything harmful for us.
I agree with your comment completely but the question is, is technology making us more alone? Would you agree with that statement? 15 million viewers across the world agree. 60% who responded to my poll agree too.
The reality of technology is that it does nothing.
A smartphone sitting on a table does nothing.

Absolutely, Doc, no technology ever did anything animate, per se’ but if the way West was only going to be traversed on foot instead of the wagon, it would have been way more sparsely populated, for openers, imagine if the gold in the Klondyke had to be transported on foot, rather than by techno alternatives, etc. etc. ad nausea. Lol. History shows, If the gadgetry is there, people will use it, I think.
It is much easier to blame the tool sadly than the actual process.

I am not sure you will agree with me but most of the interaction in real life used to be exchanging knowledge. We get that now at a click of the mouse. And therefore to that extent we do not need people around us
Hi Grace, that is a very valid observation and I wholly agree. Again, I can see the headline above coming into play in this context, so, if the technology exists, people will use it, it’s in our nature to enquire about things, ie. curiosity killed the cat, etc.

60% agree with you Witty Feeds and so do I. If there weren’t portable phones available, many people would verbally interact more with one another. The Smartphone is an amazing tool but it has this terrible down-side as well.
