Hello December 1st

A lot of things happened in history on December 1st. I thought I would share some of these events with you.

1982 “Thriller”, the 6th studio album by Michael Jackson was released (Grammy Award Album of the Year 

1984, best-selling album of all time, Billboard Album of the Year 1983).

1953 Hugh Hefner published 1st edition of Playboy magazine, featuring Marilyn Monroe as the magazine’s 1st centerfold.

1913 Ford Motor Company institutes world’s 1st moving assembly line for the Model T Ford.

1934  Leningrad mayor Sergey Kirov assassinated, Stalin uses as excuse to begin the Great Purge of 1934-38

1955 Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to move to the back of a bus and give her seat to a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama

1988 Benazir Bhutto wasnamed 1st female Prime Minister of a Muslim country (Pakistan)

  1. On December the 1st, in 1918 the Kingdom of Serbians, Croatians, and Slovenians is proclaimed in Belgrade (which also was the capital) and the prince regent Alexander Karadjordjevich the 1st, as the ruler.
