Thank you! The photo is from Pixabay.
I have something to know more about foods.
Thanks for stopping by!
No problem. You’re welcome. ?
I really enjoyed doing this food poll.
Thank you very much!
You are welcome ellie925.
My own medical condition (genetic degenerative bone disease and DVT) are only marginally helped by my diet, but I strive for a balanced diet anyway. My wife and daughter need to eat high calcium, high vitamin D, and low-cal, though. I make sure they get plenty of milk and cheese and gluten. However, the gluten is mostly in the form of whole wheat and they both also eat oats and brown rice (easy on the rice). Most of what we eat is also homemade, which is far healthier than pre-packaged, store-bought stuff.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I’m sorry to hear about your condition! Have you written on gluten or dairy before? I’d love to see your posts on the topic since nowadays they are so controversial. I personally haven’t excluded any of them from my diet, but I’m always curious to learn more on this topic.
I think that I may have written about gluten here in the past. I’ll have to check. The big thing is that only about 1% of the population is gluten intolerant, despite the far larger number of people who try not to eat gluten. However, it is still better if the gluten comes from whole grain/whole wheat. Bleached flour is very close to worthless because 85% of the healthy substances are removed during the process of creating the bleached flour.
That is what I know too; it’s almost trendy to be gluten-free.
Yes, and by doing that, people are setting themselves up for B vitamin deficiencies. Wheat kernels are really full of those vitamins, though bleached flour has almost none.
Food, diets, oh my, so many options, I’m struggling to find the right one.
It can be quite confusing indeed. I personally believe in moderation and variety.
Great question to really get you thinking. I have to eat foods with no added hormones it it. I eat healthier now!
Thanks for stepping by! Foods with added hormones are awful; could you share any tips what to avoid?
As I dont have any allergies I am ingredient led if I like the sound of something I make it but am always aware health wise ?
That’s awesome, thank you so much for sharing your opinion and experience! Happy weekend!
Happy weekend to you Ellie 🙂
Thank you once again! 🙂
Great poll! As you know for health reasons I eat a low cab diet.
Yes, thank you so much for stopping by!
My pleasure….I think polls/posts about health are great!
I’m happy to hear that, because I’m very interested in them myself! 🙂
Nice poll, I usually eat healthy but I don’t need any special diet.
This is great, prevention is always beneficial!
My daughter is allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts, cashews, and pistachios. The soy milk that she likes is higher in sugar than milk, but lower in fat. We probably eat less cheese, which is high in fat, than we would otherwise.
Thanks for sharing your opinion and I’m sorry to hear that your daughter has allergies. Luckily, there are many substitutes nowaday.
This was a nice poll. I generally eat healthy but don’t really pay attention to calories etc.
Thanks for sharing your opinion! I also think that calories aren’t that important as long as there are no specific health conditions.
The last question was the winner! I think I love Andrew Zimmerman’s show, if it looks good, eat it! I do care about gluten-free (health concern not gluten allergy).
Thank you for sharing your opinion! I was curious about it because of my blog. I’ve noticed that some people don’t like words like “vegan”, “gluten-free”, etc., but I thought they are helpful for people to know whether that recipe would be useful for them or not. I guess I can’t please everyone. 😀
Very useful poll for me because of lactose intolerance. To my mind, it’s better to care about your health, if you have such good possibility, and health will care about you! ?
Thank you for sharing your opinion; I agree with you – it’s important to take care of our health!
Good poll, makes you think.
Glad to hear that! 🙂
Good poll, we should all watch what we eat.
Thanks, Carol! I’m genuinely interested in people’s opinions on this topic. 🙂
This is a very nice poll. On some of the questions, I thought about it.
Thank you so much, Elenka!
very interesting poll. I like organic products, some I have in my garden
Thank you so much for sharing your opinion! 🙂
