Greening ~ 365 Photos Challenge #343 – 345

I visited my mother’s house this afternoon after work. About a hundred meters before the road to the residential area I was headed, I had to stop at a large intersection because of the red light. This environment is very close to my childhood.

There is a small park at the corner of this intersection left of the road, and this photo is a park on the left side of the road while on the right side long before was a football field with a lot of big trees which is now part of a hospital building. Until two years ago, the park on the left was still very beautiful but now it was rather damaged due to construction work nearby.

Jakarta is still quite green, but it is no longer as green as a few years ago with the continued development of additional infrastructure and the growth of buildings. That is one reason I moved a little further to the edge of the city.

  2. Wow, very green over there while here we just had a 15 cm snow fall. But I do not mind. I love my Canadian winter even more than summer. Behind the condo where I live there is a wide unspoiled green area which apparently is off limits (till now) for future developments. Right now that area is all white and I am sure eventually I will maybe see a deer or two.

    • Well, because we only have two seasons, now in the rainy season plants are fertile and green life is more vibrant.

Without experience, my imagination is weak to imagine what if I was in the middle of a season in Canada.

It’s great if we keep conserving nature… and seeing deer… Wow!

  3. Unfortunately, there isn’t much greenery near to where I live. But thankfully, I don’t have to walk too far to get to a nice big park. I love nature and greenery.

    • Yes, I am happy to see that you live in an area with a lot of greenery. I can’t imagine living in an apartment without plants near me that I can collect and care for.

Now I live about 4.5 miles from my mother’s residence, while previously it was only about 2 miles.
