These are the names of two lion cubs sired by Sylvester‚ the most famous South-African lion that twice went on a walkabout from the Karoo National Park‚ has finally settled down in his new home and started a family.
After mating with Angel‚ one of two lionesses at Kuzuko Lodge in the Eastern Cape‚ Sylvester is the father of two cubs‚ named, Gamka and Kambro, Koi-San names for two medicinal plants found only in the Karroo where they live. The two, pictured above, are now a year old and Kambro is sporting the first tufts of what promises to be every bit as flamboyant a mane as his famous dad’s.
The 12 month-old youngsters were photographed recently by reserve staff for the first time on Monday‚ they are staying close to Angel most of the day. Angel is one of two orphaned sisters at Kuzuko Lodge.

I would love to cuddle with them both, they are so cute.
my father spent a month in South Africa helping with Capetowns Science Education program.
I have been to African country Congo , Siberia , not South Africa
Oh, that’s great, did you like it?
Beauties both of them. I have not visited Africa but have heard a lot about its wild life.
The African Lion Foundation have just asked our parliament to disallow from touching lion cubs, cubs need to be with their mother for at least two years to learn survival skills, this simply isn’t something humans can duplicate. So, the answer is “no,” touching a lion cub in no way helps save them in the wild.
Typo: “Disallow people”
They are called world’s cruelest attractions. This link has more

Cutest lion cubs ever. Love how the one on the right has its tongue out. I would love to visit on safari and see all the wild animals.
It’s really great I liked the little tongue too, Sandra. Thanks for commenting.
I have yet to cuddle a lion cub like that one I saw in a petting zoo.
You had better not wait too long to do that Alex, soon it will be illegal to touch a lion cub. Just a word of advice, just stay away from their “sharp ends” Lol.
Would love to visit Africa and all of the wonderful animals there. I watch documentaries often from this place. Look at those faces!
So glad you like them, Carol I do too. Their dad, Sylvester has become quite famous in South-Africa and broke free twice, to roam the countryside having great fun dodging helicopters and game spotters for weeks. :*:*
Omg, they are too cute. What beautiful creatures.
In spite of Africa’s feuding tribes of people, it’s animals and plants are absolutely breathtaking.
Hi, Coffee Queen, did you know, that all baby animals are contagious? Lol.
What beautiful animals, lovely picture. I have never visited South African
Your famous Island has some pretty amazing animals, plants and scenery too, Pamela. I would move there in a heartbeat if I could.
