Sharing this photo on the last day of Kim’s Color Crazy Orange Challenge. Not really sure if he qualifies as orange, but he is close enough perhaps. He is officially called a golden brown.
The fox squirrel (Sciurus niger) is the largest of the tree squirrels. It is one of the most common squirrel species. They have long bushy tails and golden brown body and are often confused with the eastern fox squirrel. Fox squirrel is a native animal of North America.
A fox squirrel is a beautiful critter. I am used to seeing the grey and brown squirrels. But on those rare occasions, I used to see these beauties and was lucky to capture a photo. Love to watch them swish their big beautiful tails back and forth.
They love corn as you can see. We saw these all the time growing up, climbing and swinging from tree to tree. Nature has so much to offer. I hope you can get out and enjoy some of the free things in life.

Somehow I missed this one. I do think it qualifies as orange. How cute. I haven’t seen one in person, just ground squirrels here.
Never seen a squirrel of such kind, so beautiful!!! Thank you very much for sharing!!!
Such a cute capture! I never have luck with squirrels.
It’s not long before I saw her in the woods and also took pictures just to see worse because she was too far away, dear Carol … we have squirrels as much as you want
That is so cool that you saw one as well. There are so beautiful. Squirrels are world wide, good thing.
I see them all the time, including the occasional rare Black squirrel.
They have become rare here, but many see the brown squirrels. I saw the black ones growing up.
Nice photo its a lovely Squirrel..We don’t have them here.
Thanks, these are rare in my areas. Others seem them often.
We have squirrels but much smaller in size. I did see them in the US though
That is a great photo
There are many of the brown squirrels here but I rarely se any of them any more. Thanks.
I think so. they also like scolding things…
Yes they can be a little aggressive if they feel threatened.
aggressive in a hilariously ineffectual way
Super shot. We only have ordinary squirrels.
Thank you, it is rare to see these any more in my area.
We don’t have this squirrel in our area…I’ve never seen one anyway. Good shot!
I love seeing these beautiful squirrels, but lately I rarely see them.
I’m not very sure about the specie I see …
but this one doesn’t look that familiar … so maybe not :p
This one is larger than the brown squirrels and his tail is very thick, beautiful.
This is exactly the kind I have never seen. I’m not here here.
I love seeing them and their tails are so thick and bushy.
