I have not much information about myself on the internet unless of course you are one of my connections on LinkedIn.
However I would like to share with you all that I love traveling to extent of being called a travel freak.
I have a mechanical engineering degree and a PG diploma in marketing management.
I love to walk and I have walked 40-50 km in a day on innumerous occasions especially in the mountains.
I love to play badminton, chess and cricket (cricket and badminton are no more on regular basis lately though)
Photography is my passion and I always keep a camera either in my car or in my bag even on business trips.
I believe in “Eat to live” so not very fond of eating out.

Are you disappointed reading about me?

Yes

No

good to know about you.
Thanks, nothing much. I am a simple nature lover!
Being (very) educated is must to survive in my country. The competition otherwise is too tough 🙂
Do not worry, we are not disappointed, I have never walked 50 km in a day. Badminton is a cool game to play.
I am sure once you do walk 50 you’d want to go for 60 🙂 Badminton is cool but too tiring at higher level.
It’s never boring to know a person!
Thanks for sharing about yourself!!
Yep, unless a person is boring in himself 🙂
You are an interesting person. I’m glad we were able to learn more about you here. Thanks.
Thanks, I am grateful you said that. Some simple facts about a simple guy!
Walking 50 km a day in the mountains is an extraordinary performance! Good to know more about you.
Yes it takes 10+ hours but I have done it several times on famous walking treks. It is really hard uphill but while it’s other way round, you feel relaxed.
We have the same interest in walking I see, and photography! I want to try for that 25 miles a day. I have done 20 with no elevation gain, basically just a flat walk. With elevation I can only do 10. I am getting stronger and the miles come easier. Have you ever been lost?
In Himalayan region there are places where no transport is available but you have to walk. For instance when I visited valley of flowers it was a 20+ km walk from one side and if you wanted to visit and come back the same day you had to walk all this distance. I have done it many times besides doing it in Laddakh where walking is way of life. In Australia there are walking trails where people do it for fun and fund raising for various causes.

It’s interesting to know the things you’re fond for or like doing a lot.
Yes, and I hope I will be doing them more after April onward once I am out of my regular job.
fun to learn new things about you, it is hard to choose things to share sometimes I agree because we have to worry about who reads what we share.
How much do you walk a day?
In general course 3-4 km/day. However, I have walked 10-12 hours a day at number of times on different walking trails in different places.(for instance in Himalayan region)
i do 10, 12 km per day but haven’t done a long trail walk in a few years.
I would love to do 10-12 km per day but from April onward. Even I have not done 50-60 km for last 5 years or so but limited to 12-14 km.
i actually got a great headset and do conference calls while walking, that way i can work but stil walk!
No surprises. I think I knew this about you already (lol)
I am sure you do, maybe you did read my interview on FC!
We have been on so many writing sites and you have spilt he beans now and then
I love to travel and I love photography too, but long walks have always been my place to think, to laugh to be myself. I love walk only with those I love though and sometimes by myself. So looks like we have a few things in common.
I know it’s hard to do long walks due your busy schedule but I have done it in Ladakh, Himalayas and other mountain regions of North East. At my present location my walks are limited to 10-12 km on famous walking trails.
Thanks for sharing a piece of yourself.
I also love badminton
No more competitive badminton lately but I played it at higher level during my college days. Thanks…
It was great reading more about you! We have some things in common.
Thanks, I am glad to know that we have a few things in common!
Your life is very diverse. Thanks for sharing
Thank you, I hope I will have more time to know people from April onward.
I hope you come back soon. I miss you and your posts.
Good to know more about you. Very intelligent and another photographer!
Thanks! A photographer yes, but nowhere near your skills 🙂
Why I would be disappointed in you …. now I know more about you … you are a very fine person
Thanks a lot, I will be spending more time online from April and then we shall know more about each other.
With great pleasure, my friend ….. I’m already looking forward
