We all have them. Those small moments or things that often go unnoticed or unappreciated because we think they are either insignificant or we take them for granted because we live in a culture that celebrates big accomplishments.
But what if we made it a habit to embrace and celebrate the small things? Real life is happening all around us while we’re waiting for the big thing we hope is going to give us some sort of inner peace, contentment or joy.
The truth is that often the things that matter most are the small ones.
Continuing with my Joy series. Here is the fist one if you missed it:

I do agree – also, the little things brought a whole bunch of poll questions.
Yes those little glitches are still around. 🙂
You are very right. We shouldn’t ignore the little things because they matter a lot than big things. That’s why research says that women appreciate a lot small gifts of kindness from their hubbies than big things.
I live my life surrounded by these little things. Thanks for agreeing. I agree with that research. 🙂
The scent of freshly cut grass, a walk on the bank of a river, the first flowering trees…. fill my heart with joy.
I always enjoy those as well. Have a good day.
Beautiful images here Carol, little things can be huge.
I always say life is always about the little things.
if we find the little things and embrace them, cherish them we will find peace!
what a great post, a great good morning greeting!
Thanks Doc trying to share the hope and joy.
ah hope and joy, the twins that continue to play long after the rest of us have sadly put down our toys
I wish for them a happy future.
i do as well, the future right now is harder to understand.
Like You I believe that the little things in ;life matter most.
I know you do Dawn. Thanks for being you!
Sometimes we need to make a concious effort to see and enjoy the little things.
And it becomes easier to do as you become aware.
The little things can bring greater joy than any of the bigger things,
“You need to let the little things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you.”
― Andy Warhol
You know that is so true. Love the quote you shared. Take care.
Another great pondering post! The little things are what makes the world go around.
Thank you, I always love the little things in life.
Such a wonderful message once again. Every positive moment should be celebrated.
Thanks Ellie life is so short we must savor each moment.
At the very least, if we focus more on the magic of small things we will not be imprisoned by the pain that is mounted by the mind. The rest? We will realize an amazing miracle!
Words of wisdom my friend. My world is made up of those little magical things, thoughts and memories.
We must walk with our eyes open so that we can see small, for some, insignificant things.
Such true words my friend. Enjoy the moments.
Too bad about the duplications. Out of my control, sorry. 🙂
