Do You Have a Verified PayPal Account?

I am aware that most of us here have our PayPal account. Most site owners use this payment processor because it is widely accepted and easy to use.

When I started working online, the first thing that I worked on was having a verified PayPal account. I opened a debit card (Mastercard) and used that to verify my PayPal account. After two years, my debit card was expired. I received a notification from PayPal about it.

I asked my fellow online workers what they did when the card expires and they told me to get another card because my PayPal account will be reverted back to Unverified Status. I followed their advice and get another debit card thinking that my PayPal status will be reverted back to Unverified when I failed to add a new card.

However, just several months ago, a member from a forum site where I am a member told me that my account will not be reverted back to Unverified even if I don’t get a new card. The only thing I couldn’t do was to use the card for my purchase via PayPal.

  1. I was a minor when I got my first PayPal account. It was on behalf of my mother, though she didn’t know. I had to verify by sneaking and reading her paper bank statements. 😄
Then I told her, years later, when I got my own PP account. 😃
In the meanwhile, she closed her bank account but her PayPal’s was still verified.

    • This is the information I needed. Imagine because of my fear that my PayPal will revert back to being unverified, I need to open another Mastercard. Now that explains why the amount they supposed to take from the card is being returned to the card’s balance. Thank you for sharing your experience.
