Autumn gives us plenty of gifts, from the warm colors that help to cope with the cold, to the delicious fruits that we only find in this season. One of those fruits is persimmon. I have a big persimmon tree in my garden that at the moment has plenty of fruit.
Persimmon is very rich in water, with about 80% water in its constitution but it also has a lot of sugar, so better eat only one per day.
There are two kinds of persimmon, one has the hardest flesh, and is orange / yellowish while the other has soft, reddish flesh. I love both and so do my daughters and my grandkids.
The picture is my persimmon tree.
