If there is truth that the world will end one day this trend does not shock me.
This is one fact that some world leaders are denying.
What I fear more is, if mother nature would correct this imbalance herself.
She has done so, 5 times before in earth’s 450 million years of existence, once or twice by meteoric collision with Earth twice by a tidal upsurge or Tsunami caused by a massive shifting of the Tectonic plates and once by an Ice-Age through Polar-shifting. The species in existence today is but a fraction of what once walked the earth.

And yet the climate change deniers still go on spouting their garbage.
You only mention the effect on cities, but there are many island nations that could disappear completely if sea levels rise too high. This is already a major concern in places like the Maldives in the Indian Ocean.
When you combine sea level rises with the increase in storm surges caused by the greater number of tropical storms – also the result of global warming – then the prospects for low-lying communities do not look good at all.
