Hummingbirds are very challenging to capture. They are lightning fast and very small birds. I usually have to use my tripod and lots of patience to get any decent shots. The first photo below was an exception. I was photographing flowers and all of a sudden I spotted this beauty in from of my lens! Surprise to both of us! The other one was also a surprise as well.

Oh my gosh..you got three in one there! Fantastic capture, Carol! And I agree that hummingbird are very difficult to photograph!

The first thing I noticed in the “Surprise” photo was how hard it was to see the bird. What perfect camouflage!

What fantastic photos! I wouldn’t have seen the hummingbird in the second photo, except you said. And to get those 3 in the first one just by chance as it were 😀

Awesome catch there with three in one shot. The last photo, I would of completely missed him in those flowers. I almost bought one of those the other day in this color. They come in red as well, but I really like the pinks.

Oh wow, I thought it was the pink ones. I just got my nails done in the red these are, for Halloween!
