At the request of a friend for another country (Norman) who does not get to see these beautiful tiny hummingbirds, I promised to post about them. This is the end of the season as they migrate to the south the end of September sometimes the first of October, depending on the weather. I think I may have seen the last one for this season unfortunately. But I have several in my files from days gone by I have managed to capture. I hope you all enjoy these tiny birds that will fit in your hand. Enjoy…

I wonder where they migrate to? These are very precious photos as the hummingbird rarely stays around very long in one place.

In Spring, the exciting annual North American hummingbird migration begins! These gorgeous birds travel from their winter homes in South or Central America and Mexico towards the refreshing breezes in the north.
In Fall, our beloved hummingbirds will leave our backyard haven of feeders and migrate to South or Central America and Mexico to their Winter escape from the harsh elements.
Some of the lucky ones will have the pleasure of these little gems through the Winter in the southern most areas of the United States.

Lovely capture of these little beulauties, Carol. I guess that’s the reward for having a feeder outside your home. 🙂

Apparently, Norman had the same request with me who never saw this hummingbird other than in the movies. Thanks for the show, Carol.

Fabulous shots, Carol! Thanks so much for finding them, even though the birds have gone till spring 🙂 They are like tiny pieces of magic!

I love all of these shots, Carol! I have tried shooting hummingbirds before, but they are too fast for my camera!

Hummingbirds are so much fun to watch. I have several feeders at my home, including two attached directly to my windows. Can almost reach out and touch the hummingbirds. Great photos!
