Hiking in Southern California

I found this trail not far from my house where I could walk the dogs off leash. I found all kinds of cool things like an old shed, a toothbrush a prickly pear cactus that had no thorns..

#1 The trail

This looks like some of the many trails I’ve been down in southern Oregon, near the Oregon High Desert.

      If you stay away from the cities, it is cheaper. Also, the further away from the beach you are the cheaper. I have five acres in East County San Diego for sale for 30K. It is permitted for a house but has no well. It is off I8 outside of Jacumba California.

        I will definitely keep that in mind. I am currently recovering from a long toxic relationship and am thinking a fresh start would be the very best thing for me. I’m now at the point of accepting that and starting to pull my funds together. The Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia is where I was born and raised, and it’s beautiful; but it’s Mayberryville and you can’t get away from bad memories here… AND I need expansion! 😀

    I did find the other wheel a bit further down the trail, it was missing the spokes.. The bike nowhere to be found.

      That’s odd. I guess they toted the bicycle out with no wheels. In that case, wouldn’t have been easier to keep them on the bicycle? I don’t understand some people’s motives lol

    I have only seen yellow blooms here in Virginia, but they were the happiest yellow I had ever seen! 🙂 As you can imagine, we don’t have very many cacti here.

    I’ve mentioned cactus vinegar in my mayonnaise recipe, but haven’t shared any of my other recipes that use prickly pear pads.
