Bulgarian Yogurt

Bulgarian yogurt has unique nutritional, dietary and medicinal properties. It’s creamy and has mildly sour taste.

It’s one of the best probiotics out there. For yogurt to be considered of the Bulgarian variety, it needs to be made with two specific starter bacteria, Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. The bacteria in yogurt prevent the growth of harmful bacteria that cause bacterial infections and diseases. It is also beneficial for the digestive tract and immune system. What’s more, probiotics have a positive impact on your breath, skin and weight.

  1. I love yogurt so much. I have greek yogurt every day because it has become common in the US. I love Icelandic yogurt, too, but it is not common and very expensive. I would love to try Bulgarian now, one day as well!
