Accidentally Vegan Treats

The health benefits of adopting a plant based diet are undeniable but sometimes even us vegans need a bit of a sugar fix. (If you’re having trouble making the switch have a look here for 5 easy steps to going vegan).

Think about it: you’ve had a long day, you’re in your favourite fluffy pyjamas, you’ve got Netflix ready to go but wait! There’s something missing! That’s right – a tasty treat to munch on with your movie. Thankfully, even if you’ve ditched the dairy, meat and eggs, there are plenty of delicious, affordable delights ready for your Friday feast.

Here’s a non-exhaustive list of some of those accidentally vegan cookies, crisps, cakes and snacks that you can find in your local supermarket. This list is applicable mainly to the UK and Ireland but may be relevant to people elsewhere as well.

  1. Some of these are totally new to me …
    For me, personally, I eat almost no sugar and over the years very sweet things became unpalatable. Some other things I do not eat due to ridiculous personal corporate boycotts and GMO issues.
    This is just personal as I believe in individual responsibility … and I don’t normally advise on other people’s actions but I would encourage everyone to try to cut down on their sugar intake.as much as possible.for their health.
    (I do believe that the more vegans there are the safer the world is from people in general)
