The pacific ocean lies under that fog bank, or what we refer to as the marine layer, here in Southern California.
This is about a mile or two from the water, and is still partially sunny where I stand. As you get closer to the beach it gets darker and more foggy. Sometimes it looks like a London Fog..
Anyway this is my day number fifty seven!
If you would like to join in and challenge yourself to a photo a day feel free to join in, no nomination or invitation required as you can see from the original post here at rules and guidelines.
Have a great day!
Thanks a bunch! : D I appreciate it.
I miss going to the water. It is, however, far too cold right now to be on the water here on the east coast.
Nice layout of the shot by the by!
Thank you : ) Its been frigid here as well Doc, we got down in the low forties!
I would actually call the low 40’s cool :-). We’ve been dropping into the mid-low 20’s.
Have a great day, you too, Kim! I love that term, ‘marine layer’ – sounds like somebody who lays down the seas 😀
lol, now that you said something about it, it does!! Just wait until you meet the Seamasons… Have a great Friday!
Woohoo! Can’t wait!! 😀
Another great photo in the challenge! Thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much Mom, I do appreciate it.
Great post to share with all of us
Glad you liked it LaJenna! : D
There is always something mysterious in the mist. That’s what I like about me.
This is true, I feel the same way as well. Nothing like a foggy mist.. Never know whats lurking. : )
I am sure it is beautiful with the fog.
I like it, those days when the marine layer is really thick is so awesome. 5 miles inland it can be as sunny as ever..Then drive west and it gets dark, and foggy.
I’m sure, with your ability, if you throw a rock at the Pacific ocean, a fisherman will shout, “Hey, who’s frightened me?”. Cool picture, Kim!
Well thank you Albert! … I think…. lol
