The first rose bud in Dustin’s garden. The rose bush is right in front of the bluebird house. What a joy to see this beautiful pink bud about to burst open with a full rose bloom. It seems like everything is blooming all at once. I find something to smile about each time I walk outside. That is something to be thankful for. I wish the same for all of you. And remember to enjoy those little things in life.

Keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about. ~Marilyn Monroe

Oh oh my I do love me a garden. Can’t wait to get a place, with a yard and get all kinds of dirt under my nails.
There is something about getting your hands in the dirt!
You got lots of love there Carol. And your garden is manifesting that back to you.
I have to agree with you Bradley, thank you for your supportive words.
You are always welcome Carol!
Great job, Carol. I like the out of focus background.
Thanks Gary, that is a setting on macro that does the bokeh.
you are so right, if you focus on the good things more than the bad
life can turn out a WHOLE lot better in the long run more than you think.
Yes indeed, hard to do but life can be hard most of the time.
I know what you mean I have a few things that
I have done that I thought was just not for me
but I got through it with the help of God.
Somehow we manage and come back stronger on the other side.
Glad to hear you did the same.
your right, you know who is strong & who just
isn’t strong when they don’t do what needs to be done.
For some reason, I am reminded of the sled that I had as a child…
Seriously? I never know your angle. 🙂 Either way, that is a great memory to think about.
Thanks for your comment Alex.
No, I was referencing Citizen Kane

Joy and beauty are back in Dustin’s garden, and in your heart. I’m happy for you.
Absolutely Elenka, thank you my friend.
I have to admit that seeing buds start to grow and then blooms after all the whites of winter pass would be very exciting!
Yes it made my day Albert, spring has officially sprung. 🙂
Looks like the rose bud has a splendid story to tell us all. Just so beautiful!
Yes indeed and I need to tell it! Thanks!
Wonderful and meaningful post! I love this picture; roses are almost starting to bloom here too.
Thank you for your kind words. So glad to see the roses.
There is no greater path than that of moving forward with the memories of those not with us.
And that is the path I will remain on, thanks Doc.
Good! I am on the same path. It is not always the easy road.
a beautiful bud, everybody would make a smile
