Today’s picture is of two items. The first is a recreation of Neil Armstong’s first step on the moon. The second is a relief model of the moon. They are part of a project I backed awhile ago on a crowdfunding site. As a NASA geek, I love anything to do with space. From telescopes to physical globs, I love information about what is beyond the earth.
A picture of a physical object!
I find myself seeking a picture every day now, just one moment out of my day to share.
Anyone can join the challenge; you just have to post on Virily. 1 picture a day for 365 days. Oh yeah, and it has to be less than seven days old (the picture) when you post it!
That is really, really cool Doc.
Thanks, I have been waiting to recieve it for nearly a year!
Oh wow! Definitely worth the wait.
This is awesome, especially the moon!
The AR application that goes with it is a whole lot of fun as welL!
Thank you for sharing this cool post
Nice picture! Nice post!
That is so cool, thanks for sharing! It’s funny, this challenge has challenged me every day and that is a good thing!
It really is. I actually think the day before what picture should I take so I have one ready!
WoOwh… That’s some cool stuff, Doc! Here, I would have trouble finding it.
Funny thing is parts of the technology were actually made there. Funny how that works out…
You’re right, Coach. There are many things made here, labeled “Made In BlaBlaBla” and exported. Some are sold locally for those are rejected stuff
I like the moon and footprint. It’s so real looking. That would be a great thing for my grandson. To be able to feel it, and really look closely at it.
By the way, it is also an AR trigger. When you interact with the moon or the footprint, you get more information on your iphone or android.
I watched Walter Cronkite again last night. I didn’t remember how close to tears he was as Armstrong stepped off the lunar lander.
To hear his voice break.. yes, sends shivers. Those are even more awesome, what great way to learn.
I didn’t know Neil Armstrong had baby-size foot ???
Yeah yeah yeah. In fact he did. Although the bigger question would be how get I get that particular piece of the moon to my living room 🙂
