#318 Of The 365 Day Photo Challenge: Eye Surgery

This is #318 of the 365-day photo challenge, and anyone can join, just post a photo for 365 days.

I had cataract surgery on my right eye. The surgery went well BUT something scary happened. Trying to start the IV was challenging. The RN tried warming my body up first. All of a sudden I heard someone calling DISTRESS and needing help right away. I was about to faint, but someone started an IV of fluids to help raise my pulse numbers. My pulse was in the forties.

I started feeling better soon after the IV had been started. In the surgery room, the doctor made sure I had oxygen on my during the surgery. I only was slightly sedated for cataract removal.

I will be doing a review of this hospital soon. Good things will be said!

  1. I’ve been thinking about you this week. I’m very thankful that the surgery went well. How are you doing with your eye drops?

Get some good rest and lots of fluids, and Vit C, sodium ascorbate to help with the healing of inflammation. You are incredible, LaJenna!
