This was a very unexpected opportunity for Warwick & myself, and I only got informed at the very last minute. As it is, not much local art was displayed because most local artists had no idea that this was taking place.
I did a write up in a local email column called, “Neighbourly!” with questions about what type of art people liked. I got some very good responses but after 20 responses, I got invited to put some art work into the Onehunga Business mens Art Exhibition in the old Hard to Find Bookshop in Onehunga.
It was a very tight time and we were fortunate to have some work available ready to hang.
I have a neighbour here that would have liked to contribute but he did not have enough time to prepare for it.
So I visited this exhibition today and this is only some of what I saw. At least we got this opportunity and so far has not cost us anything. We were allowed 2 pieces of work for each artist.
