My friend bought my some watercolour sheets from a car booty. Watercolours isn`t something I usually paint with, but I had a notion to do some wildlife studies. I really had some fun with it. I drew the outlines in ink, using a drawing nib. then coloured it in using watercolour paints. It`s probably the most traditional piece I`ve done.

It is really tough, but you pulled it off. Have you ever tried using gouache on top of watercolors?
Thanks. I have used gouache before and on some watercolours, but only briefly not in anything substantial.
then you understand that they have much more opacity than watercolors; I found gouache to be invaluable for overpainting, you might want to look into it…
