Like most of you, I’m also a pet lover. My two cats, Popeye and Susie are those I often miss besides my wife and two beloved daughters of course if I need to go for a few days.
Unfortunately, since two months ago Popeye has disappeared. Popeye, who was happier staying on the front porch, had suddenly left and disappeared, never returning home. Really, I and my family feel lost to him. We still often think about what happened to him.
This afternoon, Susie was sleeping when I came home. She was very sound asleep on a bookcase in my working room. Her cute face is very adorable when she sleeps. But she rushes up when I call her name. Wriggle for a moment and then sit down.
Like everyone who loves their pet, we all know that they are our friends or family who are at the same time a source of excitement and relief from exhaustion. In the last two weeks, there have been other cats who often come and sleep on the front porch. Looks like this little male cat wants to replace Popeye in our family.
I cannot describe in words what I feel towards my dear cats. In childhood we had a Siamese cat, he was very playful and frienly. When I grew older I also had a she-cat, that died, she could produce different meow and loved my home singing :))). Now I have a cat that is small-sized and white with several lovely grey spots, she is so cute and means a lot to me too.
I think your cat has the same reason of her/his presence for you as well as my cat too. They mean a lot at home.
Call this cat KEEPER! Praying Popeye will return for you.
I can do that, but what is the reason?
I will try to call her Keeper, hopefully, she is pleased because so far she’s used to my call, “See…” or “Cie…”
Hope Popeye in good shape.
I mentioned to call her keeper because most your commenters said she was a keeper lol
You could call her charity or Angel too, or just call her precious because she looks it..Or call her Olive lol you know Popeye’s girlfriend.
Oh, that’s the reasons. Now I understand… I’ll ask her if she likes one…
or just pick one that you think suits her. We had a cat once that looked like it was peeping all the time soooo we called him peeper. Or just call him fun-lovin lol
Very well. Then I’ll call her Susie ‘the spoiled mischievous’. Hopefully, he will know that it is his nickname and not a chat.
Susie is a cute name for a cat. How old is she again?
Susie… she is almost one year old…
So cute kitty! I’m so sorry your Popeye has disappeared.
Thank you for your caring and sympathy, Milena. Hopefully, he will come back one day.
Has your Popeye come back, Albert?
No, Milena. He never comes back.
Oh, no 🙁 I’m so sorry 🙁 I hope he will come back. Or he is good there where he is.
That’s okay, Milena. There was a neighbor who told him how he had buried several cats found dead in his house. According to him, there are people who do not like cats in the neighborhood and have poison them.
This is terrible what people can do to the animals and to each other.
I don’t know if that happened to Popeye, hopefully not, but clearly, he never returned.
There is nothing nicer than coming home to a place where you are loved and wanted!
Yes, Exactly Doc. Home is where we go and go home, to heaven where we are loved and wanted. Heaven that we create proactively.
I think he is a keeper.
Who do you mean, Popeye? I think so….
Popeye for sure, but I meant the one in your
photo.
Ooh, I see… So, you mean Susie is the keeper of mine, right?
It is sweet to see how much you live your cats.
Haawwhhh… Thanks for the compliment, Ann.
I don’t have cats but there are a lot of them who seem to love my yard as they always visit.
Before Popeye and Susie, our family had never kept cats even though like you, there were so many cats in the yard of the house and its surroundings. Popeye was one of them, then didn’t want to go away after we fed and treated her when she was sick. While Susie came as a baby kitten who followed me home after almost being stepped on because she was always too close to my steps.
I guess they all picked you and you are all lucky
Thanks for your appreciation. Do you think there are certain reasons why cats choose us?
this gray cat looks like my late cat, Lelou Belle, who died at 16 in 2006.
Is it true? Hopefully you are not sad anymore because you have lost Lelou Belle, Fifi
It is still sad. But she is gone now, and I now have Gumby to move on with…who is getting older now. I am hoping he is healthy at 18.
I could understand it, Fifi.
Gumbi is 18 years now? Wow!
i keep him indoors. he is spoiled.
I also have a cat and I understand how you feel
Many cat lovers in Virily, so I’m sure many know what I feel… As you are Milena.
I also have a cat and I understand how you feel when you are not home
Yes, of course, Vidocka. You are the grandmother of your beloved granddaughter and cute cat.
My friend also has one kitty at home – it’s also very nice. But I believe that you are sad because one has disappeared – he can still come back
Yes, Lado. I didn’t have a pet for three years because my eldest daughter was allergic to fur. But later, we couldn’t avoid it when the baby cat, Susie, stole my attention. I hope Popeye will come back, hopefully.
Of course, a friend will be hoping for the best return to a healthy and healthy weekend
Thank you, Lado. May you have it too…
Sorry about Popeye but you know, he could still return.
Thanks, Carol. I hope so, but usually, he never goes far because he will accompany me gardening every time I am at home.
Again, i am sorry I know this feeling. But this is a beauty in the photo. 🙂
Yes, Carol… I agree with you…
She is beautiful!!
But looks like he is up to something lol
She’s waiting for my hug then her meals…
Beautiful photo. I am glad to see how far came with the phone challenge.
Thank you, Della. Btw, How far do you think?
Hahahaha…
Well, I can see you are getting closer to the finish line real quick. I gave up months ago
In the past few months, I was also less active in Virily, but I tried to keep posting this challenge, even more consistently from my literary and painting posts. This is only an effort to hold a commitment when I plunge into this challenge, even when the main challenger has been inactive here.
how beautiful she is.He has beautiful eyes
Yes, the color of her eyes is beautiful indeed. Thanks, Branka
