the sound of flies
or beetles
fill the air
each wing clicking
as if made of metal. the beetles
or are they flies?
buzzing closer and closer
until the sound is all we hear little
other
than buzzing. filling our
ears with sand until
now deafened we
turn within. Though we stumble
unable to use
legs connected to useless ears
we do not fall. always within sight
of the enigmatic smile
what is known
that is not yet told?

You know nothing is more annoying than when you sit relaxed with closed eyes on your terrace and suddenly her a buzz of a fly. LOL. So peaceful photo and a buzz of flies and bees. I love this contrast.
I was actually sitting on my porch doing exactly what you’ve described when a wasp started buzzing around me. I wrote the poem after the wasp left!
Poem with great meaning.
That smile even Mona Lisa could not have (lol)
It is an enigma, Buddha’s smile is always the artist’s view.
Lovely song and a great photo of the Buddha
Thanks – on this particular trip my father and I spent a couple of hours talking about the impact of Buddism on him as a person.
Beautiful song but even more I like the image of Buddha ?
I am very proud that I managed to get a few good pictures that trip!
Thanks as always for the kind words!

Beautiful picture and even more beautiful song, my friend
I thank you! I actually wrote that last week!
But this is quite new … you really have a poetic talent, my friend
you honor me with your kindness.
I suspect my poetic talent is average or less. But I thank you!
With great pleasure, my friend … I’m just saying the truth
again, your kind words are touching!
You are a very kind person!
Indeed I am transported often when reading posts on here. Great poem and I see Buddha again.

Today it was Fortune and Howards posts that took me down a more philosophical path…
Great post and great picture.
Thanks! Kind words are always a welcomed!
