These Monarchs were against a dark background in the garden.
This is a late entry to “Macro Monday”, I have been very busy….
Monarch Butterflies are the easiest Butterfly to care for in New Zealand yet you must be careful with them. They are delicate creatures. Especially their feet. You must wait for them to walk on something and never force their feet, and never hurt their wings. Best not to touch their wings.
I see that the butterfly shows up much better on a black background. Thank you for sharing the information on the butterfly. I am not sure I ever tried to touch a butterfly before.
Monarch butterflies are safe, but you have to be very gentle with butterflies they are very fragile creatures.
I love butterflies, they bring so much when they return in the spring!
Thanks so much Doc, glad you like them
Great picture, dear Pam … it seems to me that all butterflies are very sensitive to touch … you better not touch them
Thanks Lado, with Butterflies I let them walk on my finger by themselves. There are ways of handling Butterflies that does not harm them but one must be patient
Beautiful Butterflies , Thank you for
Thanks so much Witty Feeds……….
even if I were inclined to call you on your tardiness, I am entirely ineligible…
Thanks Alex…………………….
I know what it is like when things go off the rails
It must have taken quite a bit of your patience to grab this photo. The restless butterflies will not settle down that easily. Great job
Actually it wasn’t hard, the butterflies love the sun on their wings and don’t mind being photographed. They did not move at all. Thanks Grace
Those are amazing, someday it will warm up and I will spot one!
Yes, well you just may be lucky…Thanks Ghostwriter
Beautiful picture. Butterflies are very sensitive creatures.
Thanks so much Vidocka, the Butterflies are sensitive
I do not know the names of many butterflies, but those are so bright, beautiful.
These are some of New Zealand butterflies and our country does not have many varieties. Thanks Fortune.
Love these monarchs. Have not seen any yet this year but I know they are coming any day. Beautiful photo.
Yes, the Butterflies will soon arrive. Thanks for your comments Carol. Do you ever see Monarch Butterflies?
