Anastasia Vsplyshka
June 23 mega-popular annual sports and music festival Ekstremsportveko/Extreme Sports Week will start in Voss Municipality (Western Norway). Its program includes jumping in the air on a mountain dirt bike (competing participants accelerated by an earth springboard), flights of paragliders, skydivers and base jumpers. Also there will be extreme swimming on the boiling river rapids, kayaking, etc.
A few words about the venue of the festival. Voss Municipality is a picturesque resort place: lakes with clear water, wooded mountain slopes, bubbling rivers with rapids. For many, Voss is the starting point for tours to Sognefjord and Hardangerfjord. There is a kingdom of skiers in winter, and lots of extreme fans in summer. Tourists of all ages and families with children often come here to relax.
