Kim has a challenge for June about what makes us HAPPY. Click on this purple link to see the details. Pretty simple. Just write about what makes you happy.
After the bluebirds leave the backyard house I may not see them for weeks. They fly away with their Mom and Dad beside them. Last year I was able to capture this little baby in my tulip poplar tree in the backyard. Do you see him? He has spots and blends very well. It is rare to get a shot of them right out of the nest. This is one of those little things in life that brings joy and happiness to my soul.

My eye sight might be awful….because even with all the hints given in the comments…I still can’t find him! Great photo though!
Do you see the first big limb on the left? Look at the base of that line, next to the tree trunk. He is blue with lots of white spots.
I think I found him now….he just blended in so well I thought it was part of the tree! I zoomed in a lot and saw his face!
I was going to suggest zooming in, glad you found him.
I zoomed in some the first time and still couldn’t see him….but when you said he was on the left branch that definitely helped!
I see him. This set I have seen, just not this shot. I hope you get a second family this year.
Thanks Kim, I thought he was so cute hiding there abut looking right at the camera! I also hope there are more to come.
I was able to find the bluebird in the image.
Good for you and thank you!
You are welcome Carol DM.
He is not camera shy carol lol. Love this one!
He froze when he saw me, too cute. Thanks!
Yes, he is in the crook of the tree branch looking directly at the camera.
Yes indeed he is Pam, blended very well.
Now that you tell me where to look I found him. That is why they are camoflashed with their coloring so that predators can’t find them.
Yes they are born with these survival skills.
Is he looking directly at the camera, on the branch beside the green basket? A distinctive blue head and white beak?
Yes Andre he is. You found him!!! We have a winner. Isn’t he cute!
Is he brownish in colour?
No, he is blue with white spots.
