Lots of people take it every day in their coffee or tea, or just straight out of a glass. Although it is nature’s baby food, we ingenious humans have been using it as an adult foodstuff for millennia. How much do you know about this emulsion of fatty globules and water? I mean milk, of course! Feel free to share your results below ๐

Poor score and this despite drinking milk all my life!!!
Aha, well I know from personal experience that familiarity with something is no guarantee of expertise ๐
I missed 4 but it is a great quiz chocie
I’m glad you enjoyed, LaJenna ๐
nice
Was surprised at how much water is in cow’s milk.
There is even more water in beer! ๐ฎ
Got eight right!
Not bad, Lena! Thanks for playing ๐
9/13 and some surprising new facts too.
Yes, I found that too, while researching the quiz ๐ Well scored!
Eeek 7/13. It was countries and quantities that stymied me. Oh the shame for a country girl from New Zealand, where humans are outnumbered by both cattle and sheep.

BTW humans produce milk too.

Quiz: How much do you know about Milk?
You got 6 out of 13 right!
Not so bad
Not so bad – almost 50%, and I bet you don’t drink milk!
Hauuuu… my heart can no longer creep with any score, Norman. Milk, hmmm… I really like it, chocolate milkshake? Hmmmm…. but yes, I do very rarely drink milk!
An essential glass per day, complete diet!
Well, there are competing opinions, and many traditional cultures completely avoid milk and milk products. But I couldn’t drink my tea without it!
I am not a milk fan, I got 6/13
Well, 6 is a pass (just about ๐ ) Thanks for playing!
Great quiz…got 8 correct!
Glad you enjoyed it, Mom! Thanks for playing ๐
7/13 only…not happy with either my score; and poor knowledge!
But now you know more, Nadeem ๐
8/13 here, that was fun!
Hey, I’m glad you enjoyed it, Kim ๐
I never drank milk, they would even have a hard time giving me bottles. I just do not like the taste. Tastes like dirty water to me. lol
Well it sure as hell isn’t a natural drink for adults. I drank it for years in tea, until suddenly one day (a few years ago) it tasted utterly foul. I thought the milk was gone off, but no. Nowadays I get past the problem by sweetening the tea ๐ (It never bothered me in coffee ๐ )
You Got 12 out of 13 Nice Quiz! Norman Thanks for share with Us.
Nice score, Hamza ๐
Thanks
12 out of 13.
Impressive, milky-boy!
9 out of 13 – pretty good considering I don’t drink the stuff.
1,000 gallons of water be 1 gallon of milk… not very environmentally friendly!
In the US, where there is in general no water shortage. Compared to coffee, often grown in water-poor countries like Ethiopia, and with similarly disproportionate water-to-product requirements! You did well in the quiz btw ๐
My mistake: that figure is a global average, which means that it takes much more than 1000 gallons of American water to produce 1000 gallons of American milk ๐ฎ This is well worth a read, and it contains a lot of hard data that you can use to support veganism:

Great, thank you!
I don’t know, that water goes right back to the environment…
How do you mean, Alex? It is removed from the clean water supply and obviously can’t go back into it.
but it does eventually
Obviously, since we live in a closed system. That doesn’t make it okay. It’s like saying it’s okay for me to steal $1000 from your pocket because it will go back into the economy eventually.
The answer for question #12 is correct???
good quiz!
6/13
could be worse.
Indeed it is, and that’s on a global average. The amount of water used is much higher in developed countries, such as the US. It’s all in here: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10021-011-9517-8
Thank you very much for the link you provided!
You’re welcome, Nina ๐
Awesome quiz! I got 10/13 I love drinking milk.
It’s got lots of goodies in it, regardless of how ‘unnatural’ it is for us to drink it into adulthood! Great score, Gina ๐
8/13 Cool quiz!
Great, Ellie! Thanks for playing ๐
got 8 out of 13 right!
That’s not a bad result, Edith! Thanks for playing ๐
You got 7 out of 13 right! Not so bad
I barely passed though. This was quite interesting –
You did pass, though! Thanks for playing ๐
๐ ๐ My pleasure. Soon I’ll go win a prize at Edinburgh Castle Pub quiz night!

And so you should! Never been to California, and now my nephew has moved from there to Boston it’s looking less likely. But it’d be great to join you at the quiz table some time ๐
6/13 Oh dear!
I bet you’d do better if you tried the quiz a second time ๐
You got 9 out of 13 right!
Not bad, Elenka! Thanks for playing ๐
